The shipping department is completely unable to ship this item as a set of 4 plates.The web page stated "1 Waterford Fine China Padova Accent Salad, Set of 4"; the price was supposed to be a special offer.However,I received only ONE plate, not the four. I called about the error, and was told the quoted price for the set on the web was too low and my order would not be honored. After protesting and paying quite a bit more (which I should not have had to do), I was promised my set of 4.THREE MONTHS later, one plate arrived in a huge box. Another call...another shipment of just one plate. Another call...another shipment of...you guessed it.....just one plate!!!Then Amazon had the audacity to email a demand that I return the first plate, or they would charge my credit card. Be sure to call about problems....emailing will not work. 1-800-201-7575.
One final horror:I had ordered this same set of 4 accent plates for a different bride a year ago, but the shipment went directly to the bride.I just called the mother-of-the-bride, and she said only one plate was received. NOW I HAVE TO START THIS SAME PROTEST PROCESS ALL OVER AGAIN!

I bought this set of coffee mugs in addition to the dinnerware set I already have in the Whittier line. Originally I bought espresso cups which are useless - completely square, too small, and you simply can't drink out of them without being afraid that the coffee will spill as you are drinking. On the other hand, this set of mugs only has square bottom which goes hand in hand with the Whittier design, but the top is round, so you can actually get to the coffee! To Amazon, i suggest better packaging methods. First order came in with 3 mugs broken so they re-ordered another set for me, free of charge. However, that set came in with another 3 mugs broken because none are wrapped inside the box.

I bought these plates and also the white larger dinner plates and I was so disappointed in the quality. Right out of the factory sealed package 10 out of the 12 plates I ordered were scratched or had defeats. Plus they were packed very poorly by the company and about 7 out of the 12 were either chipped or damaged. These plates are very very poor quality and I would recommend NOT BUYING THESE PLATES. I have never been so disappointed in a purchase quite like this. I received a refund within 48 hours and if I could give it a zero star, I would. Don't waste your time or money... go with something else.

I looked really hard for the right sugar bowl. I kept coming back to this one and I'm glad I did. It's very well made and stylish! The sugar sits perfectly inside! I know, of course it does becuase it's supoose too....! Anyway, it's very appealing and it compliments my Mikasa Black Salt & Pepper Shakers. It's a little exspensive at $30 bucks for a sugar bowl but it's worth it! I just hope I don't knock this one off the kitchen table like I did my old sugar bowl which prompted me to purchase this Mikasa one in the first place....

Review of Nautica Arctic Night 13-Ounce Mug

I received these mugs as part of a set for our wedding five years ago.I still have all of them intact, with almost daily use.

These cups hold quite a bit of liquid, and I found that I needed to re-estimate how much coffee to make if several people were partaking, to be sure they all got a full cup.They are great for hot chocolate, but again, be sure to measure in order to get the proper liquid/cocoa mix ratio.The large capacity means even more chocolaty goodness!I sometimes use the mugs instead of bowls if I want to portion-control a serving of ice cream, or even some cereal.

The stoneware holds in heat very well, and I have no problem with my drink getting cold before I'm done with it.The same goes for cold items; ice cream stays cold and doesn't melt too much.The mugs are microwave and dishwasher safe.Microwaving can produce a lot of heat, but luckily it doesn't transfer into the handle too much.Just be careful about touching the rest of the mug.

If you are a hot tea person, you may have a little trouble with these mugs.I generally forget when I put the tea in, so I have to judge by the color whether or not it has steeped long enough.It's black inside.I had a few cups of weak tea before I just started setting a timer.

Overall, I think these mugs are very nice.They are heavy without being too heavy, have a good capacity, and insulate hot and cold items very well.They have lasted five years, and will continue to be a part of our kitchen for many more.

I bought my Mikassa Arabella dinnerware at least 10 years ago in a base exchange in Germany where there wasn't much of a selection but I loved it at first glance. I have added pieces over the years and learned last year that it is one of their most popular patterns. I'm not surprised! The pieces are very versatile: good for everyday yet nice enough for company. Only one plate has been broken despite years of hand washing! This is the first tea set I've found with such a deep strainer.This is great for me because it means I can put my tea leaves in the strainer instead of in the kettle and then straining before pouring into the cups.

Be aware that this is a small set (I was perfectly aware, no worries).I generally make enough for just three cups, but I think there may be enough room for the extra liquid for that fourth cup.I only need service for three, personally.

Don't put this on your stove top.Heat the water first and then pour in (I use a small water heating appliance - such as this one).The crackling on the bottom is just lovely and green tea looks especially nice when served with this set.
