Review of Thomas O'Brien® Set of 4 Dinner Plates

I purchased a complete set of the Thomas O'Brien dinnerware at a local Target. One plate chipped on the edge immediately, a manufacturing defect, I think, as I don't recall bonking it. Cheap enough that I threw it away and ordered more rather than hassling with a return.No other problems so far. Warning: All items are substantially larger than average - the dinner plates barely fit in my old dishwasher. They are not thick or heavy, however. I did not buy the mugs because they were too large.The color varies slightly from item to item - lighter on some. I don't consider that a defect - it gives them a hand-made look. Almost iridescent finish, shade varies, lighter in the centers of the plates.Microwave, dishwasher and oven safe.Large, deep bowls prevent splashes and are great for cereal hounds or for soup. Nice looking for the price.
