This set is great!They are very sturdy.The glasses are thick.The silverware is okay, but I didn't really need them.They are great to have though for when we have larger crowds here to eat.I can't say enough. I got this for hot tea at work.

It gets soft with hot liquids so I have to be careful to support the cup from the bottom as well as not gripping it too tightly. It's not a safe feeling when you have very hot water that could spill on you if you don't handle the cup right.

And as the other reviewer said top edge (where you drink) isn't completely rolled up so it's not smooth.

And the cups tend to stick to each other and you have to play with it to separate.

So in the end it's too much work and too flimsy to recommend. The environmentally friendly aspect is the only thing going for it. And really I feel ashamed as I'm writing this that I don't just get regular mugs from home and wash them...

This is not a only a lovely teapot, it's also functionally very sound.I bought this to replace a teapot that had a lid with no notch to keep it in place when you poured the tea.This pot has a notch on the lid that gives some protection against falling off and shattering. The dinnerware is beautiful.The problem is that the dinner plates DO NOT have the Turkey on them.The dinner plates are of the Delamere pattern, which has the same brown border but nothing in the center.The salad plates and the mugs have the turkey emblem.The description states that each plate has the turkey on it.Spode does make the dinner plates with the turkey.I decided to keep the set because it was a great deal at the time and I can put the salad plate inside the dinner and it looks great or I can use the dinner plates at other times.

This huge 16 ounce mug by Pfaltzgraff truly IS a man sized mug! However, you don't have to tell that to your female guests--everyone is sure to appreciate this sturdy mug that can hold anything you serve to your guests. (All right, so it isn't perfect for serving liquor, but we knew that already!) Pfaltzgraff manufacturers this mug to be durable so it can stand the test of time--this is nothing cheaply made.

The "Sedona" style mug is indeed dishwasher and microwave safe. The manufacturer claims that it is also oven and freezer safe; but I can't comment on that because I haven't used it in the oven and freezer.

The warm, earthy tones of this mug certainly do give it that vibrant southwest feel; and the design can go with many contemporary and even modern dining room sets.

The mug is hand painted; that impresses me. There is a five year warranty but with the great design of these mugs I doubt you'll ever need it!

I just received these today & was incredibly pleased.
I've been shopping for a nice set of stoneware on & off for weeks.
This seller is excellent. You should check out their site !
The set was incredibly well packed & shipped lightning fast.
They also offer excellent customer service, with update emails
with tracking information.

This set exceeded my expectations. Pretty Spectacular !!
The price has actually dropped since I ordered.
Now they are only $19 --- What a steal !!!
Shipping was cheap too.

Now about the dishes.They are heavy weight, but not overly
cumbersome (shipping weight of 24 lbs).
They are a really nice shade of ocean blue, more like a pale
ocean than a vivid blue, on my computer they actually
almost match the amazon menu border at the top of my screen.

The dinner plates are a nice large size, as are the salad plates.
Unlike many other dinnerware sets, which skimp on mugs & give dainty
teacups, I was pleasantly surprised, as the bowls & mugs were
larger than I had expected.Great for those coffee lovers out there.
The bowls could easily hold a can of chunky soup, no problem.

The design itself is very tasteful.The shell motif is slightly
raised for an embossed look, with light gold accent paint strokes.
Tres elegant :o)

Now that I know the quality of these, I am definitely considering
ordering the white Thomson seashell set as well.

You won't be disappointed.

We use these plates where I work and they are awesome. I work in an assisted living facility and these dishes are used in the Alzheimer's area. Things in that area have to be durable and for the price most of the people who live there are playing, they have to be classy. Fiesta makes both of those possible.
I don't know how many times these plates have fallen to the floor, but very few end up broken. Though they are a bit costly, you wouldn't have to spend a lot of money replacing them or time looking for a matching color or pattern.

The bowl is made from stoneware, which makes it heavy, but quite resilient.In five years, we have not yet broken one (knock on wood!!).We do have some minor chips and dings on some of the rims, where they have been carelessly plopped into the dishwasher too hard, or banged it against the counter top.It's good to know that if one does get dropped, it won't shatter into a zillion pieces.

The thing with stoneware is that it really retains heat, so be careful when filling it with hot items, or when heating in the microwave.Even the rim can get hot in the microwave (I suspect it is the shiny glaze), so use a pot holder just in case.

There is really only one con I can come up with.If you are the type to drink your milk from the bowl when you are finished eating cereal, you are going to have some problems.Try drinking milk from a saucer, and you will see what I mean.The flat surface of the rim doesn't channel liquids very well, so you could end up wearing them.

Overall, I think these bowls are a great part of the Nautica Arctic Night series.The multi-toned black glaze is very elegant, they hold a lot of food, and have withstood the test of time.
