Review of Vera Wang Wedgwood "Naturals" 4-Piece Place Setting Leaf

We went searching for new dishes when we moved into a new home.Wanting neutral but durable, dishwasher/microwave safe.I bought 12 place settings from Heslops (local in MI). Bought 6 in LEAF and 6 in GRAPHITE color because when they were on display in the store the mixed and match pieces in the place settings and we really liked the look of it.We were told they were made in England (we specifically were looking for product NOT from china).After waiting 2 months to get them we found that they were in fact made in china and we had concerns since we would be eating off of them, about lead content, etc.After much research and great lengths of calls to Wedgewood we received, what we felt, was substantial enough testing/results info that the dishes would be ok and we kept them.
Keep in mind, they are stoneware, the leaf color does get marked up by stainless steel utensils as most stoneware does, but after much internet reading, that is normal and fixable with either a baking soda rub or some product by pfaltsgraff i think.The graphite does not show the marks and we tend to use those pieces more often.We have also noticed that though the dishes are round, they are not perfectly circular--maybe due to the nature of stoneware, I'm not sure. NOT at all horrible, but you can notice slight variation when stacking them in the cupboard.
Overall, we are happy with them.No problems dishwashing them, they do get quite warm while microwaving, but I think that is also normal with stoneware.They are a brand new line for her so, it was cool to tell people I had the new Vera Wang line of dishes. And we felt the cost was reasonable.
I am just know hoping for more serving pieces to add to my set.
