UPDATE on March 1, 2010: I wrote to the company a little over a month ago and they replied immediately, offering to replace the broken mugs. That was great, but we are still waiting for the replacements to arrive.********************
We liked the size, shape and appearance of this large mug, and the company's reputation, so we bought six in the cobalt and peacock colors.
But after several months of regular use, two of the cobalt mugs lost their handles. They just came away easily from the body of the mugs without being dropped or jolted. I've never had this happen to a mug before. I notice that the area where the handle connects to the body is distinctly lighter than the rest of the glaze and wonder whether this reflects some manufacturing defect.
