I have to admit I hesitated before buying my Le Cadeaux melamine "Blue Rooster" plates because of the melamine I remembered from my childhood:boring and cheap-looking.The plates arrived today and they are gorgeous!Perhaps the heavier weight makes the difference, but the beautiful design just comes alive on my counter.Plus the sturdiness of melamine.I wish they had been invented before, and I had ordered sooner.Now I'm going to get as much as I can, in several patterns.Highest possible recommendation - absolutely delilghted (if not I would not have taken the time to write this.)
