This is a terrific, well-made dish that can transform easily from everyday use to more formal, with the right table setting. I've been wanting an all white set of dishes, but something that was not too modern or plain. The scalloped edges give this an interesting look. Better yet, the other pieces of the set have interesting differences (e.g. the rice bowl versus the style of the dinner/salad plates) that complement each other without making the set look too matchy matchy. The photo that Amazon uses for the dinner plate for some reason is far more of a bright white than the other Country Heritage pieces they display, making it almost look like it doesn't fit with the rest of the set. But it doesn't have that same shade disparity in person. I've also seen the occasional/infrequent comment on other sites about the bulky size or shape of the dinner plate, fitting it in the dishwasher, etc. But we didn't find any issues with that at all. They are similarly sized to our old dinner plates and fit in our dishwasher just fine.
