Alas, I had to return this magnificent serving bowl because it was far to heavy for me. It is very large and could easily serve 8-12 persons. The color is beautiful, it's microwaveable for reheating. However, I have a permanently damaged rotator cuff and this is far too heavy for me to lift and carry to the table.
However, I have the plates, soup bowls, and the gigantic ice cream dishes which can serve as salad bowls or non-cream soup bowls - their size is 6" actoss and 3.5" deep.
I love these and sure do hope they didn't discontinue the salad plates, but I no longer see them.
I do virtually all my marketplace shopping through Amazon because the returns are easy. I'm in a high-rise condo with 24-hour concierge, and just leave the package at the front desk for UPS or Fed-Ex pickup.
