You can trust anything made by Iittala to be high quality and everlasting. Pretty much all Finnish families uses Iittala glass in non-everyday setting, but I have used my glasses daily for years and not one of them has broken...very thick glass. I brought 6 of these and 6 wineglasses from Finland 7 years ago and I wash them in the dishwasher everytime. The blue glass is very pretty and makes orange juice look "fancier". Could not be happier and will always use Iittala!!!

I purchased six of these. Then six more... then another six for a friend!These mugs are the perfect size for the morning cup of coffee. The cup is not so large that it will make your coffee go cold by the tiem you reach the bottom. It's also not so thick walled that it takes away the heat either.It's light and somewhat stackable so they can be put away in the cupboards easily. After looking for a timeless flatware design for some time, I purchased one place setting of this collection to evaluate.The quality of the polishing is high, and after repeated washings over many months the setting shows no signs of wear.My only objection to this collection is the large size of the settings.To me, everything was one size too large.The teaspoon seemed like a tablespoon, and the smaller fork was 7 inches long, the larger 8.The knife is 9 inches long and very slender.

I ordered this to use an everyday platter. It could fit a small turkey. We have a large family and it works well. One platter I ordered was perfect- but, the second had some abnormalitites in the design. I kept it thinking to sending it back would cost more than it was worth. Listing page describes this as a Japanese nabe pot, but it is made in China. It is enameled, which the listing does not say. There is no guarantee that this product isn't going to poison you. When contacted, seller said that I would have to pay shipping and there will be a 20% "restocking fee"...what BS. These pots are not cheap, and there's no reason that they need to be made in China.

Unfortunately, this five piece place setting arrived broken, and was so poorly packed that I was surprised all five pieces weren't smashed. Amazon quickly sent me a replacement, but it too was broken, and packed the same flimsy way. They eventually ended up reimbursing me and I had to run to the local department store to get the setting. The customer service was excellent, but I would get my china from a site that specializes in such fragile things, or pick it up in person from a local store. The china itself is lovely.

I just bought this exact same set, overseas, in a midnight blue color. The set is great, it's dishwasher safe, and cleans very easily. Both plate sizes are larger than normal; and all the pieces have a copper/bronze trim around the edges. You can tell each piece is handmade because there are differences in the trim on each piece. Very solid and heavy so it won't break easily. Definitely very distinctive, and sure to bring lots of compliments from friends and family who see the set. I searched every where for a toile teapot for mothers day, found this one here and bought the matching tea cup and saucer.

Sturdy design yet delicate look, the red is the perfect shade and is really red, not orange or brown like others claiming to be this shade.

Only disappointment is the fact that the red details on the handle seem more country than Victorian, but my mother loves it anyway.

Review of iittala Artik 5-Piece Place Setting, Service for 1

I fell for it's contemporary look and risked buying a 20-piece set witout seeing it outside. I was skeptical about my purchase until I received. I took this risk with the confidence that iittala makes very high quality products.

My trust on iittala brand turned out true. These are great piece of flatware which can't be matched by anything we see in most local department stores. We immediately returned the Villeroy and Boch New Wave Flatware set we got from Bloomingdales as it pales (in a very big way) in comparison to this. Frankly, these two shouldn't even be compared. That's how good the build quality is of this set. The stainless steel has some special kind of shine that makes it look very attractive and at the same time very unique. These pieces are very heavy and feel very good in hand.

We liked them so much that we are now looking into adding more of iittala brand items to our kitchen and home decor.

This creamer came in perfect condition and is pretty much worth the price. It is from the newer collection of Johnson Brothers Old English Castles that is made in China and not in England. If you are a true collector that will matter to you. If you're just buying it for the looks~then it's a great piece.

I am collecting the authentic pieces and bought this as a back up if I need a second creamer or for flowers, etc. My authentic pieces are marked on the bottom very specifically and you will know if it is made in England or not.

Although these delightful bowls do not come close to holding the 24 ounces advertised, (closer to 20 oz), they are nevertheless a very good deal at 4 for $19.99.I own several of these bowls in Winterberry, Filigree and also Grapevine patterns.I love the versatility.They make not only a generous-sized serving of soup or cereal but can be used for serving pieces for smaller side dishes.I love the design and they certainly compliment the Winterberry collection favorably.Although one reviewer stated she received broken dishes, I have ordered numerous Pfaltzgraff items through Amazon and have not had any broken items.As with other Pfaltzgraff pottery, everything seems to be made in China now and is not of the superior quality that their pottery enjoyed when made in the USA.Since I began my Winterberry collection several years before the advent of the "made in China" items, there is a noticeable difference in quality, color of the glaze and thickness of the pottery itself in nearly every piece that I have received recently.Therefore, I give this item a 4 star rating instead of 5.Even though the quality is not up to their previous standards, Pfaltzgraff continues to provide good quality products and these bowls are a charming addition.

This is made in Indonesia to a high quality. It looks wonderful, no defects I could see, and it is just the right size for a cup of yogurt, small amount of fruit, you get the picture: it is not a supersize item. If you need to eat more of some side dish or dessert that this plate allows, shame on you!

I use it daily in many ways and just love its very popular pattern - it's so civilized. This is one of the items in Old Country Roses I'm collecting (one dayI'll have it all!!!). The problem now is to find the space to keep and/or display them.

I thought the description "raw beeswax" referred to the ingredients of the candle. It does not. Raw beeswax is the color of the candles. My daughter has severe allergies, so I can only use real beeswax candles in the house. Amazon was really great about returning the product.
