You can trust anything made by Iittala to be high quality and everlasting. Pretty much all Finnish families uses Iittala glass in non-everyday setting, but I have used my glasses daily for years and not one of them has broken...very thick glass. I brought 6 of these and 6 wineglasses from Finland 7 years ago and I wash them in the dishwasher everytime. The blue glass is very pretty and makes orange juice look "fancier".
