Review of Sophie Conran by Portmeirion 14-3/4-Inch-by-12-Inch Oval Platter, White

I've spent over $500.00 buying this stuff (6 place settings in celadon plus serving wear in white).I love it and have gotten lots of compliments on it.In general I have found the oval pieces in this collection to be more attractive than the round pieces.This oval platter is one of my favorites in the collection.

By the way, I was somewhat concerned by the web pictures and the description of the collection as "glossy."I was afraid this would translate to a cheap iridescence in the pieces.Fortunately, this was not the case at all.The shine on the pieces is subtle; not offensive at all.

I am also happy to say that despite daily use, not one piece has chipped yet.
