If this has caught your eye, I can attest that the set is exactly as is pictured. It's really quite gorgeous; my mother attempted to take them with her when I was moving.This set is completely microwave safe.A few notes:1.The large dinner plate is very large. If you have a very small microwave, it may fit such that the plate will not turn. I will often just use the small plate to eat dinner.
2.The bowls are quite large. I love that, because I eat a lot of noodle soup.However, if you're expecting them to be small, this is not your set.
3.The cups are quite square. I find them adorable though.
The whole set is very sturdy and microwave safe. The finish is glossy.They wash very easily.I get compliments for sure.
