Review of Cuisinart Sunflower 16-Piece Dinnerware Set

We fell in love with these dishes when we saw them online. The fact that they were hand painted made us feel as if we were getting something really special. However, when we recieved them, we found out that the "hand" that "painted" our dishes could have used a lesson in painting. There were several areas around the dishes that showed major flaws in the painting. Paint drips, painting outside the lines, as well as spots that were missing paint altogether! Luckily for us (this will sound wierd at first) some of the plates were broken in shipping. This allowed us to get a recovery case shipped out. We held on to the case that was broken and waited until we recieved the new case so that we could combine the three (we bought two originally) and we exchanged the poorly painted dishes with the better ones from the new box. Unfortunately, the bad ones outweighed the good and we were stuck with a couple pieces that looked like they were painted in third grade art class! I must say, however, that the dishes that are painted right are beautiful and the pattern gets some very nice compliments. I will say this as well, Amazon customer service did outstanding in taking care of our return and shippped out a replacement overnight. We were very pleased with the delivery time for the new case.
