I purchased these holders for my wedding china. I intended to put 8.25" round plates in here, since the dimensions are listed as 9"x9". However, be warned that the listed dimensions refer to the exterior, and how much room you need to have on your shelf. The interior dimensions actually run about an inch smaller. Thus, this particular box won't hold anything larger than an 8.0" diameter plate or bowl.I also purchased several other WD China Storage boxes, and they all run 1" small inside. So note the dimensions of your china prior to purchase. I will be using this box for smaller salad bowls, instead of the intended plates.
