I had high hopes for this set. I had always heard good things about Pfaltzgraff and like the fact that they carry replacements for a few years after the last registered date for a patten. I really love the design and colors of this pattern and hoped that this set would be a make a great addition to my kitchen. After reading the first review I was a little leery but couldn't resist the price 114.50 for the double set (8 place settings), thats only 14.00 more than the the single set(4 place settings). Unfortunately, there are about 7 pieces that have very noticeable paint smudges, scratches in the paint,or paint runs. I think Pfaltzgraff needs to vamp up on their quality assurance. I still intend to keep the sets and am working with Amazon to get replacements, but it sounds like they have to send a replacement order and then I can pick out and replace what I need and then send back the sets I don't want. (Bit of a pain, but a least I get my dishes.)
Other points to consider: The dishes are quite large (particularly the dinnerplate). Some people may actually like that but I wish the were a little smaller. Could probably just use the salad plate as a dinnerplate.
Also, the colors are a little duller and darker than they appear in the photos. But it still works and looks nice.
Overall- aside from the few inferior quality pieces I am happy with the sets and would recommend them. Just be prepared that they might not all be perfect.
