Review of Corelle Impressions 16-Piece Dinnerware Set Wine Berries

I've been looking for breakfast dishes to replace an old stone wear set and found these on open stock.The newer Corelle designs are really nice and a big improvement over what I remember.The "wine berries" lunch plates are prettier than the dinner plates, which seem sort of lopsided design-wise.Even so, this is an attractive pattern and the photo doesn't do it justice at all.The lunch plates are just right for a fried egg & toast or omelette, and the bowls a nice size for cereal.I didn't need mugs so just bought the plates and bowls.The background color and shapes are exactly like Corelle's basic "sandstone" pattern, so it should be easy to add to these over time.
Updated update 6/09: I was noticing a lot of manufacturing defects in this and other Corelle patterns last year.The different colors apparently get stamped on one over the other but weren't always lined up right.Corelle was unavailable for awhile and is now back in stock, so I'm hoping these problems are fixed.In the meantime, I've been adding fruit bowls, bread & butter plates, etc., in Sandstone and all in all, couldn't be happier with these dishes.
