Make sure to ask the seller about the cups, because they are stoneware and made in Thailand...instead of being the same kind of correlle material the plates and bowls are, which are made in the U.S.A. The stoneware is heavier and I feel will break easierly. The original set I purchased from the store have cups that are made in the correlle material and made in the U.S.A. There were also a couple of scratches on one of the plates.
